In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with disabilities, assisting them in their daily activities and promoting their independence. Your commitment to care and understanding will make a significant impact on the lives of those you serve. Responsibilities Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities in various settings, including assisted living environments. Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and personal growth. Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs and preferences. Ensure safety and well-being by monitoring clients' health and reporting any concerns. Assist with heavy lifting and mobility support as needed, ensuring proper techniques are used for safety. Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients. Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere that encourages independence and self-esteem. Qualifications Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred. Knowledge of CPR and first aid is highly desirable. Familiarity with medication administration protocols is a plus. Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities, demonstrating patience and empathy. Strong communication skills to interact with clients, families, and team members effectively. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required by the role.
