Position Overview The Certified Home Health Aide provides personal care and support to clients in accordance with individualized care plans. This role focuses on client safety, comfort, and well-being, under the supervision of a registered nurse and in compliance with Florida state regulations. Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care, mobility support, and assistance with daily activities as directed by the care plan.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy home environment.
- Support clients with activities such as bathing, grooming, toileting, mobility, meal preparation, and transportation to appointments.
- Observe and report changes in client condition to the supervising nurse.
- Accurately document care in the electronic health record and communicate schedule or care changes promptly.
- Assist with self-administered medications within state guidelines.
- Participate in required training and quality improvement activities.
- Adhere to infection control, patient rights, and HIPAA policies. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of a Florida-approved 75 hour HHA training program.
- CPR certification or ability to obtain within the specified timeframe.
HIV/AIDS
training per Florida Department of Health requirements.- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
