Job Description

Our mission at Debbie Clark Support Services, Inc, is to provide quality services to ensure independence, with guidance and assistance in reaching goals and independence, while promoting safety and health in the home and community. Supported Living Coach (SLC) /Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree with major in education, rehabilitative science, business or related degree OR 4 years working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities in a home-based environment.
  • Bachelors AND 1 year minimum experience working directly with recipients with developmental disabilities preferred. OR
  • Two years of college in one of the above majors AND 2 years minimum experience working directly with recipients with developmental disabilities in a home-based environment Pay starts at $20.
00 per hour. Having the qualifying paperwork will put you to work faster! Must be computer literate. Must have own vehicle. You must be able to pass a level 2 background screen and complete APD required training. Supported Living Coach (SLC) / Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Duties :
  • provide assistance with time management, support counseling, community connections, mobility/travel skills, civic responsibilities, interpersonal communication, personal grooming and meal planning
  • assist in housing procurement/maintenance, safety/emergency procedures, money management/banking, self medication/health management and 24-hour emergency assistance
  • keep detailed, acceptable service logs and enter into the APD iConnect system, and learn and complete all required Florida Medicaid and APD/iBudget paperwork for each consumer, all to be turned in to the office; will be taught upon hire Debbie Clark Support Services, Inc.
