In this role, you will assist residents with daily activities, monitor their well-being, and promote independence within a safe and caring environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to person-centered care and possess relevant experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care settings. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance Support residents during meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met Implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs and preferences Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols, including first aid and CPR procedures Observe and document daily progress on condition, behavior, or health status with attention to HIPAA regulations Assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices Engage residents in social activities and community outings to promote socialization and well-being Perform light cleaning duties to ensure a hygienic living environment Collaborate with team members, healthcare professionals, and family members to deliver comprehensive care Skills Proven experience in group home, assisted living, nursing home, or home & community care settings preferred Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are highly desirable Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorder. Ability to lift heavy loads safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts and perform physical tasks required for patient handling Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and team members Compassionate attitude with patience for working with vulnerable populations Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality of resident information Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment This role is vital in providing compassionate support that enhances the quality of life for residents.
