Home Health Aide (HHA) Position Summary Opal Rose Home Care and Companion Services is seeking dependable, compassionate, and reliable Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide non-medical, in-home support to clients throughout Pinellas County. This role focuses on helping clients maintain independence, comfort, and safety in their own homes through personal care assistance, companionship, and daily living support. Caregivers must be comfortable traveling within the service area and using their own reliable transportation for companion and community-based shifts.

Key Responsibilities Responsibilities may include:

Assisting with personal care such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene Supporting mobility, including walking assistance and transfers Preparing meals and assisting with feeding when needed Performing light housekeeping related to client care Providing medication reminders (no medication administration required) Accompanying clients to appointments, errands, or community outings as needed Providing companionship and meaningful social engagement Observing and reporting changes in client condition Following individualized care plans and maintaining basic safety practices Qualifications Florida HHA certification or currently enrolled in a training program CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Previous caregiving experience preferred, but not required Ability to assist with mobility and daily care tasks Strong communication and interpersonal skills Dependable, professional, compassionate, and punctual Must have a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance for companion shifts requiring transportation Additional Requirements Comfortable working in homes where pets may be present Ability and willingness to travel throughout Pinellas County for client assignments Comfortable accepting PRN/as-needed scheduling Ability to complete a background check in accordance with Florida state guidelines Authorized to work in the U.S. Schedule & Shift Information PRN / as-needed scheduling Shifts are not guaranteed weekly fixed schedules Typical availability may include approximately 1-2 shifts per week depending on client needs Most shifts range from 3-5 hours Some companion shifts may require caregivers to use their own vehicle to transport or accompany clients to appointments or errands What We Offer Flexible PRN scheduling Opportunity to transition into a W-2 position Supportive team environment Ongoing communication and guidance Meaningful work supporting seniors and individuals in need About Us Opal Rose Home Care and Companion Services provides reliable, non-medical in-home support focused on safety, dignity, independence, and respect.
