Nursing Assistant Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. This role is vital in delivering high-quality patient care in various settings, including assisted living facilities and hospitals. This role requires the following traits: Reliability; Emotional Intelligence; Patience Under Stress; Respect for Client Dignity; Good Communication This role requires consistent attendance and emotional presence, even on difficult days. Exact Shift Expectations (nights, weekends, short visits) Physical demands (lifting, standing, transfers) Emotional realities (end of life care, dementia, family dynamics) Duties include, but are not limited to: Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure. Help patients with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring them safely. Provide companionship and emotional support to patients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and common areas. Document patient care activities accurately in records. Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans for patients with developmental disabilities or those requiring critical care. Skills Strong caregiving skills with a focus on patient-centered care. Ability to lift and assist patients safely while adhering to safety protocols. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care.
