This role involves providing person-centered care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, behavioral challenges, and varying levels of care needs, including total care support. The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, and committed to creating a safe, respectful, and structured environment that promotes independence, stability, and overall well-being. This position may involve the use of approved crisis intervention and physical intervention techniques, in accordance with company policies and training, when responding to aggressive or self-injurious behaviors. Key Responsibilities Assist residents with daily living activities including personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, mobility, and medication support Provide emotional support, encouragement, and companionship to foster a positive living environment Observe, document, and report changes in behavior, health, and daily progress Support residents with lifting, transfers, positioning, and other physical care needs as required Maintain a clean, organized, and safe home environment Follow individualized care and behavior support plans while collaborating with supervisors, healthcare professionals, and team members Utilize de-escalation techniques and maintain professionalism during challenging situations Qualifications Experience in caregiving, direct support, behavioral health, senior care, or dementia care preferred Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care Ability to safely perform physical tasks including lifting and personal care assistance Ability to remain calm and professional in behavioral or high-stress situations Healthcare or nursing experience is a plus, but not required Why Join Our Team?
