•We are seeking a
RELIABLE
compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide essential support to individuals with disabilities in a Behavior Focused Adult group home setting. The DSP will assist clients in achieving their personal goals, promoting independence, and enhancing their quality of life. This role requires a strong commitment to resident rights, patient observation, and the ability to perform various daily living activities (ADLs). •Available Shifts; Must be able to work weekends; you will have 2-3 days off a week. Monday-Friday 3PM-10PM Sat. & Sun. 9:00 AM-9:00 PM or 10am-10pm Overnight Thurs-Sat 10pm-9am Responsibilities Support residents in daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication management. Observe and document residents' behaviors and progress, ensuring accurate records are maintained. Assist with mobility and physical support, including lifting when necessary. Foster a positive environment by encouraging social interaction and participation in community activities. Implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs and preferences. Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times, adhering to established protocols for emergency situations. Promote resident rights by advocating for their needs and preferences within the community. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including social workers and hospice care teams, to provide comprehensive support. Experience Previous experience in a Behavior Focused group home or similar setting is preferred but not required. High School Diploma or GED Mandatory Level 2 Background Check Mandatory CPR, First Aid; Behavior Assistant; PCM (Restraints); Online courses for Direct Core Competency etc...preferred but will provide training if needed. Experience in social work or home community care can enhance your candidacy for this role. A compassionate demeanor with strong communication skills is vital for building rapport with residents and their families.
