Job Description
At Continued Health Services, we believe that great care starts with compassionate people. We are currently seeking a dedicated and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting. This is more than a job—it's an opportunity to positively impact lives while developing valuable skills and experience in the human services field. Position Overview As a DSP, you will work in a foster home serving 3 consumers and provide daily support to individuals served by CHS. Your role will focus on promoting independence, enhancing quality of life, and ensuring a safe and supportive living environment. Responsibilities Assist individuals with daily living activities and personal care needs Support bathing, grooming, hygiene, and dressing routines Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when needed Administer and document medications according to established procedures Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment Complete daily documentation, progress notes, and required records Encourage independence, social engagement, and skill development Assist with community outings, appointments, and recreational activities Provide transportation as needed Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and support networks Protect the privacy, dignity, and rights of all individuals served Qualifications Valid Driver's License CPR and First Aid Certification HIPAA Training HIV/AIDS and Infection Control Training Zero Tolerance and Direct Care Core Competency Training Level 2 background check Don't have all certifications yet?
