As a Professional Companion you will help adults with developmental disabilities participate more independently in their communities through non-medical support, supervision, and socialization activities. Every day is an opportunity to make a difference. Responsibilities Provide non-medical supervision and companionship. Assist individuals in participating in community activities. Encourage social interaction and relationship-building. Support participation in recreational, educational, volunteer, and community-based activities. Help individuals access community resources and services. Promote independence and reduce reliance on paid supports over time. Support personal choice, self-determination, and community inclusion. Document services provided and progress toward goals outlined in their Support Plans. Requirements Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities Knowledge of client care techniques including assisting with ADLs, and medication administration Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and support team.
