As Direct Support Staff, you will help others lead a meaningful life and become as independent as possible in a home setting.

Part time positions:

Saturdays 11a-7p and Sundays 3p

• 8p Monday
• Friday 3 pm
• 8 pm + resident appointments on weekdays (This position is split, taking residents to medical appointments as scheduled in the mornings then in group home shift starting at 3 pm.

Weekly hours can range from approximately 25 to 35 per week depending on how many appointments are scheduled. May require last minute appointments for labs and emergencies).

Responsibilities:

Willing to teach, prompt, assist in accomplishing goals Assist with personal hygiene including bathing prompts and oral hygiene Housekeeping and laundry Making/serving meals Transporting residents on outings in the community (weekend day only) Transporting residents to medical appointments Communicating with doctors professionally and responsibly.

Requirements:

Must have at least 1 year of related work experiences (experience MUST be on resume. If related work experience is not on resume, you will not be considered for this position) Willing to work with developmentally disabled adults Able to pass local, FBI and FDLE background screening per DCF requirements https://info.flclearinghouse.com/ Able to complete required training in a timely manner Able to use a computer to complete paperwork, reports, and send emails Willingness to conform to policies, procedures, and state mandates Must have High school diploma or GED (MUST have a copy of diploma or GED) Valid driver's license & reliable transportation Clean driving record (5 years) Must be able to multi-task Must be organized Non-smoking position Due to the nature of services we provide, all level two background screenings are filtered through DCF then APD to determine if an individual's criminal history (if there is one) makes them ineligible to work with a vulnerable population per state of Florida statues.
