Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Direct Support Professionals assist individuals with developmental disabilities in activities in the Community and Home settings. All applicants must have the following requirements:

• Must complete a Heritage House application on site (prior to interview)
• Available Evenings/Overnights and all Weekends and Holidays.
• Must be 21 or older with valid driver license
• Must submit a current copy of driving record
• Must complete a TB test
• Must complete a background check
• Must be available for all scheduled training initial and annually

Shifts:

Evening Overnight Weekends Open availability (preferred) 'Work Remotely No Responsibilities Provide direct care and support to individuals in a group home or community Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as toileting, bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Monitor and observe patients for any changes in behavior or health status. Utilize first aid skills when necessary and maintain a safe environment for residents. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of individuals. Engage in social work activities to promote a supportive and inclusive community. Provide support and education to individuals to enhance their independence in the community.
