Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, home health environments, and community programs. This vital role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence. You will play a key role in enhancing quality of life through personalized care and attentive support. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility Monitor patients' vital signs and observe changes in health status to report to healthcare professionals Administer medication following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer devices to safely move residents or clients Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols Document care activities accurately, including patient observations, medication administration, and progress notes Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings preferred Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications like HIPAA training are a plus Experience with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities highly desirable Ability to lift heavy objects safely and assist with patient transfers using appropriate equipment Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in health or behavior Knowledge of medication administration procedures and care plan adherence Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to engage effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams Join us in delivering compassionate, professional care that truly makes a difference.
