Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities and personal care. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients by promoting independence, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will be energetic, attentive, and committed to delivering high-quality care in various settings such as home environments, assisted living facilities, group homes, nursing homes, or hospice care. This paid position is perfect for those passionate about caregiving and eager to develop their skills in patient observation, medication administration, and supportive care. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status or behavior Support medication administration following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for confidentiality Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning tailored to individual dietary needs Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safe patient transfers and mobility Document patient progress accurately in care records and communicate effectively with healthcare teams about any concerns or observations Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a positive environment for clients with dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, or other disabilities Qualifications Prior experience working in home & community care settings, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus Experience with Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities enhances your candidacy Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when necessary and operate patient transfer equipment like Hoyer lifts Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed care plans accurately Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support individuals with diverse needs including autism or disabilities Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or overnight hours as needed Join us in providing compassionate caregiving that transforms lives!
