In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance, monitor health conditions, and promote independence within various care settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, and home health environments. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment for those in your care. Duties Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's personal assistive devices Monitor patient health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; observe and report any changes or concerns promptly Administer medications following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary restrictions and assist with meal consumption to promote proper nutrition Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties, including cleaning patient areas and ensuring infection control protocols are followed Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents accurately in compliance with healthcare standards Support patients with specialized needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, or developmental disabilities through dedicated memory care or behavioral support strategies Requirements Valid certification as a CNA or equivalent credential; experience as a Personal Care Assistant or caregiver is highly valued Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification to respond effectively during emergencies Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care settings Familiarity with medication administration, care plans, patient monitoring, and HIPAA compliance Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting residents with mobility or transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts Strong observational skills for patient safety and health status updates; experience with dementia or hospice care is a plus Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills; experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is desirable Join us in providing exceptional care that enriches lives!
