In this vital role, you will empower residents to live independently and safely while promoting their well-being through personalized support. Your dedication will foster a positive environment where individuals feel valued, respected, and supported in achieving their goals. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives every day. Responsibilities Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and assist residents during meal times to promote independence. Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols. Document care activities accurately in resident records while respecting privacy regulations like HIPAA. Take the individual out in the community and assist with entrepreneurial endeavors Transport the individual to the movies, and watch movies with the individual in the home. Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed for resident support. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, residents, families, and healthcare providers. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is advantageous. A compassionate attitude combined with patience, attentiveness, and respect for individual differences is essential for success in this role.
