This vital role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those they serve, demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism at all times. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while developing valuable skills in healthcare and caregiving. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and independence Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, reporting findings accurately and promptly Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties, laundry, and sanitation tasks Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids to assist with patient transfers safely Document care activities, patient observations, and progress in accordance with healthcare protocols and regulations Skills Proven experience in home & community care or assisted living environments, including working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques, vital signs measurement, and basic nursing procedures such as CPR and first aid certification Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with autism, or those requiring memory care or hospice support Strong communication skills for coordinating with healthcare teams, families, and patients while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility needs; comfort working in various settings including nursing homes or group homes Familiarity with creating and following personalized care plans tailored to each resident's needs Experience in medication administration and understanding of safety protocols related to patient care Join us in delivering compassionate support that empowers individuals to live healthier, happier lives.
