Overview of Duties:
  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
  • Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times
  • Promote resident rights and advocate for their needs and preferences
  • Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents
  • Document resident progress, behaviors, and incidents according to agency policies and procedures
Preferred Experience:
  • Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
  • Familiarity with medication administration protocols
  • Ability to lift and transfer residents as needed
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality
