In this vital role, you will assist clients with daily activities, monitor their health and well-being, and ensure a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment. Your energy and positive attitude will help enhance the quality of life for those you serve, making a meaningful difference every day. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Provide patient observation and monitor vital signs to track health status accurately. Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking. Maintain cleanliness of client living spaces through regular cleaning routines to promote hygiene and comfort. Document care activities, update care plans, and communicate observations to healthcare professionals or family members. Support clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease through specialized memory care techniques and compassionate engagement. Qualifications Prior experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care is highly preferred. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia enhances your suitability for this role. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and use assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts effectively. Strong patient observation skills with the ability to monitor vital signs and recognize changes in condition promptly. Knowledge of medication administration procedures following care plans and safety protocols.
