Job Description

Hello! We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA) who is interested in expanding their skills by learning diagnostic ultrasound (sonography) through on-the-job training. Join our private women's healthcare practice and make a meaningful difference in the lives of women every day. This position involves direct patient care, so we are looking for someone who is friendly, dependable, patient-focused, and committed to providing outstanding customer service. Schedule Offered:
Monday:
7:30 AM to 2:00
PM Thursday:
7:30 AM to 2:00
PM Friday:
7:30 AM to 2:00
PM Saturday:
7:30 AM to 2:00 PM Employees must also be available to work Saturdays. If you have prior commitments that prevent you from arriving by 7:30 AM or you are not able to work Saturdays, this position may not align with your schedule.
Responsibilities Patient Assistance:
PCA is to assist the patient and talk them through the procedure. It is imperative that the patient understands what to do and can follow the physician's instructions. Communicating these directions to the patient and making sure she understands them is essential.
Training:
On-site training will be provided for all job tasks, including but not limited to infection control, patient counseling, lab work, medical history intake, procedures, dirty and clean utility room duties, and recovery room tasks. While prior training or experience in these areas is recommended, it is not required.
Patient Care & Environment:
Keep patient rooms tidy and sanitized Perform and monitor vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, etc.) Ensure rooms have adequate patient care supplies Provide appropriate emotional support Skills Excellent knowledge of patient assistance and care procedures Working knowledge of relevant medical equipment Moderate knowledge of computer skills ( Google Docs, Excel, Data-entry) Committed to health and safety standards Empathetic and approachable Proven experience as patient care technician Able to work in a fast-pace environment
QUALIFICATIONS + EXPECTATIONS
Education/Experience:
Requirement:
High School Diploma or greater
Experience:
Recommended three years of experience in a medical environment. Applicants with additional certifications (CNA, MA, LPN, etc.) should have copies of these certifications kept in their employee file. These items are not required, but are highly recommended.
