Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support and care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, home care environments, and community programs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those experiencing memory loss or developmental challenges. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality patient-centered care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in condition or behavior, documenting findings accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as required Administer medications following care plans and ensure proper documentation of medication administration Support patients during outings or community activities to promote social engagement and mental stimulation Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control protocols are followed Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and update personalized care plans that address each individual's unique needs Skills Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings with a focus on senior care or disability support Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs measurement, and patient monitoring procedures Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or hospice care are a plus Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, autism spectrum disorder, or memory care needs Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts Strong communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals Experience in medication administration, care plan implementation, and documentation practices aligned with healthcare standards Join us in providing compassionate caregiving that empowers individuals to live their fullest lives. Pay:
$12.00 - $15.00 per hour
