Responsibilities Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts or resident's personal assistance devices Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient behavior, and reporting any changes or concerns promptly Support medication administration and help maintain accurate care plans in accordance with HIPAA regulations and facility protocols Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal service to promote healthy eating habits Engage residents in social activities and community outings to foster socialization and mental well-being Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing routine cleaning duties and adhering to infection control standards such as Alzheimer's care or dementia-specific protocols Document all care activities thoroughly and accurately while respecting residents' privacy and confidentiality Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or home health settings is preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring is highly desirable Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training, or specialized dementia/Alzheimer's or hospice care training are advantageous Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for patient mobility assistance Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others' independence and quality of life Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts as needed Join us in providing exceptional care that empowers individuals to live fulfilling lives.
