Job Description

Make a difference by supporting people in living fuller, more independent lives. Exceptional Community Services (ECS) is actively hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Day Center for their team in Monroe, GA. As a DSP , you'll support individuals with developmental disabilities by assisting with daily living activities and helping them build personal, social, academic, and vocational skills. In more advanced capacities, this role may also include supporting staff scheduling, training, and other lead responsibilities. Services are provided in a day center and may also extend to community or home-based settings, all focused on promoting independence and quality of life. Job Duties:
Support individuals in achieving personal goals through with daily living support, skill-building, and service plan implementation Provide hands-on care including hygiene, meals, household support, and daily supervision as needed Promote independence and community engagement through transportation and participation in work, recreational, and skill-building activities Observe, document, and communicate changes in behavior, progress, and needs Assist with medication self-administration and report concerns to clinical staff Partner with families, guardians, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver consistent, holistic, and person-centered care Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment that honors each individual's dignity and goals
Job Requirements:
High school diploma/GED, required Current Georgia driver's license, required CPR/First Aid certification (or must obtain within 30 days of employment) 2+ years of experience in a related role, required Experience supporting individuals with mental/behavioral health needs and/or developmental disabilities If you're ready to do meaningful work that changes lives, apply now.
