Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants to provide high-quality support to individuals in various care settings, including home, community, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will assist with daily activities, monitor patient health, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those experiencing memory care challenges. Prior experience in healthcare or caregiving is preferred but not required; training will be provided to qualified applicants committed to compassionate care. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs and patient observations to ensure health stability Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer devices safely for patient mobility Maintain a clean and safe environment through light cleaning and sanitation tasks Observe and report changes in patient condition or behavior to healthcare professionals or family members Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being Assist with transportation to medical appointments or community activities when required Follow all safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures to ensure client safety at all times
MUST BE ABLE TO COOK A LIGHT MEAL BREAKFAST AND LUNCH
Qualifications Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, home health, hospice care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly desirable Knowledge of patient care techniques including assisting with ADLs, medication administration, dementia/dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and resident's care plans Certification in CPR and First Aid preferred; training available for qualified candidates Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and compassionate demeanor essential for working with diverse populations Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and handle physically demanding tasks safely Familiarity with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality Experience with vital signs monitoring, social work principles, or long-term care is advantageous
MUST BE ABLE TO PASS BACKGROUND CHECK
