Job Description

Job Summary Join our compassionate healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Personal Care Assistant (PCA), where your dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients across various care settings. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to individuals with diverse needs, including those requiring long-term care, memory care, hospice, or acute medical attention. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure that each patient receives respectful, personalized care in a safe and nurturing environment. This position offers an opportunity to work in dynamic settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and community-based care programs. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Cerner Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations Provide compassionate care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, developmental disabilities, or behavioral health needs by implementing specialized memory and behavioral care techniques Maintain a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols in accordance with hospital standards and Level I Trauma Center guidelines Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in medical-surgical units, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or emergency departments to deliver consistent patient service Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care or phlebotomy when trained and authorized to do so Document patient interactions accurately in EMR/EHR systems like eClinicalWorks or Home & Community Care platforms to ensure seamless communication among healthcare providers Requirements Valid certification as a CNA or PCA with active state licensure or registration Experience working in diverse healthcare environments including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care settings Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) certification preferred Prior experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms is highly desirable Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic senior care, pediatric care, or behavioral health support with patience and professionalism Familiarity with infection control practices including aseptic technique and handling infectious diseases Ability to lift patients safely using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts and adhere to safety protocols for patient handling and mobility support Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care.
