Job Description

Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Assistant, where your dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities and personal care. In this vital role, you will provide attentive, respectful, and personalized assistance to promote independence, safety, and well-being. Whether working in a home setting, assisted living facility, or group home environment, you will be a trusted caregiver committed to enhancing quality of life through attentive support and compassionate care. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor patients' health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; observe and report any changes in condition Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring proper sanitation practices Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to safely transfer residents with mobility challenges Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and facility protocols Qualifications Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, home health, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize signs of dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory-related conditions Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or medication administration are advantageous Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or disabilities is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks while maintaining compassion and professionalism Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, patients, families, and healthcare providers A genuine passion for caregiving combined with patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to patient safety Join us in delivering exceptional care that empowers individuals to live their best lives.
