Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support and care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, home health, and community environments. This role is vital in promoting independence, safety, and well-being for residents and clients with diverse needs. The ideal candidate will be energetic, attentive, and committed to delivering high-quality personal care while fostering a respectful and supportive environment. Paid training is provided to ensure you are fully prepared to excel in this rewarding position. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs and overall condition; report any concerns promptly Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, including meal planning and cooking Maintain a clean, safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation of living spaces Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's to assist with mobility and transfers safely Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and organizational policies Skills Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and hospice care practices Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality protocols CPR and First Aid certification required; additional certifications like CPR or Hoyer lift training preferred Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, patients, families, and healthcare professionals Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility; ability to work flexible hours as needed Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve!
