In this vital role, you will foster independence, promote well-being, and ensure safety for residents in home & community care environments. Your dedication will help enhance the quality of life for those you serve by delivering personalized assistance with compassion, patience, and professionalism. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day while developing valuable skills in patient care and support. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility Monitor residents' health by observing patient conditions and reporting changes to healthcare teams Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Support residents during meal preparation, cooking, and feeding to promote nutrition and independence Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA standards and facility policies Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive environment for those with dementia, Alzheimer's, autism or other developmental disabilities Assist with community outings or activities that promote social engagement and mental stimulation Follow all safety procedures including CPR, First Aid, and emergency response protocols Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes or home health environments preferred Experience caring for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, memory care or intellectual disabilities highly valued Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals who have developmental disabilities or autism Certifications in CPR / First Aid and Assistance with Medication will be provided if needed Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as required for resident transfers and caregiving duties Join us in making a positive impact on the lives of those we serve!
