Direct Support Professional

Responsibilities Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance. Support individuals with meal preparation, cooking, and feeding to promote proper nutrition and hydration. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning common areas and personal spaces. Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and care plans; communicate effectively with team members about individuals progress or concerns. Skills Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of individual care techniques including first aid, CPR, and autism support. Ability to observe individuals closely for signs of distress or changes in condition; excellent individual monitoring skills. Familiarity with medication administration procedures and HIPAA privacy regulations. Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting individuals with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts. Compassionate communication skills tailored to working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges. Basic cleaning skills to maintain a hygienic living space; experience with home & community care preferred. $12.50 - $15.00 per hour
