Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Developmental Therapy Staff member to join our team in providing high-quality therapeutic services for adults with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of adult developmental needs, be skilled in following individualized therapeutic plans, and be passionate about helping individuals find opportunities to grow. This position is in our Adult Day program, which is a center-based program for adults with disabilities. Services occur primarily in center and in community locations. This is not an in-home service position.
Key Responsibilities:
Working with adults with developmental disabilities, helping them improve daily living skills, social skills, communication, and emotional regulation. Monitor client progress through regular assessments and maintain detailed records of sessions, goals, and outcomes. Work collaboratively with developmental therapy teams, including supervisors and coworkers. Assist clients in developing coping strategies to manage challenges in community, home, and work settings. Provide support as needed to ensure clients' safety and well-being. Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to continually improve skills and knowledge. Advocate for clients' rights, dignity, and autonomy in all aspects of their care and treatment. Bringing clients out of center and into the community for social opportunities.
Qualifications:
Highschool diploma Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to build rapport and trust with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Compassionate, patient, and nonjudgmental approach to therapy and client care. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Certification in developmental therapy, behavioral therapy, or related certifications is a plus. Ability to multitask between interacting with clients and tracking data points.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to engage in activities that may require bending, lifting, and moving to assist clients. Ability to transport clients via personal vehicle.

Full-time/Part-time:
between 9 am and 4 pm.
