Direct Support Professional (DSP) Evening & Overnight Shifts

Penta Nascent is hiring dependable and compassionate team members for 2nd and 3rd shift positions in our Centralia and Salem homes. We are seeking both Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and Cook/DSP roles, (with cooking as the primary responsibility for that role). Our homes are 16-bed ICF/DD facilities, offering a structured, team-oriented environment where staff support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their daily routines. This is hands-on, meaningful work focused on promoting independence, safety, and quality of life.

Positions & Responsibilities:

DSP•Centralia & Salem Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting) Support individuals in a safe, respectful, and structured environment Monitor and document behaviors, routines, and health changes Follow individualized care plans and maintain HIPAA compliance Engage individuals in daily activities and skill-building opportunities Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe home Administer medications if Med Tech certified Provide companionship and emotional support Cook/DSP•Centralia & Salem (Cook-Focused Role) This role is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking and creating a welcoming, home-style dining experience. Meal preparation is the primary responsibility, with DSP support duties as needed. Prepare daily meals using simple, easy-to-follow recipes Complete meal prep, cooking, and kitchen organization Serve family-style meals and help create a positive dining environment Follow all dietary needs and care plans, including modified textures (puree, chopped, etc.) Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen Monitor basic food inventory and supplies

Secondary DSP Duties:

Provide support and supervision to residents as needed Assist with basic routines and engagement during the shift Work as part of the team to maintain a safe and supportive home Shifts Available 2nd

3:00 PM•11:00 PM 3rd

Shift:

11:00 PM•9:00 AM Various hours for the cook position: weekends and week days available Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (required) DSP certification preferred (or willingness to obtain•paid training provided) Previous care giving, healthcare, or human services experience preferred Cooking experience (home or professional) strongly preferred for DSP/Cook role CPR/First Aid knowledge a plus Ability to assist with lifting and mobility as needed Strong communication and observation skills Reliable with a person-centered approach to care Why Join Penta Nascent? $17.50•$19.00 per hour
