Penta Nascent is seeking compassionate, dependable individuals to join our team in our Centralia and Salem residential homes serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

About the Position Our homes are 16-bed Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities (ICF/DD). Staff work together to provide a safe, supportive, and person-centered environment where residents can thrive and maintain the highest level of independence possible. This is a hands-on role that requires compassion, reliability, professionalism, and the ability to support residents with daily living activities. Direct Support Professional (DSP) Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene Support individuals in maintaining independence and achieving personal goals Monitor resident well-being and report health, behavioral, or environmental concerns Complete required documentation accurately and timely Follow individualized service plans and care plans Participate in recreational, community, and skill-building activities Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment Assist with medication administration if certified Provide encouragement, companionship, and positive behavioral support Work collaboratively with coworkers, supervisors, nurses, and other team members Cook/DSP Responsibilities This position is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking and creating home-style meals for others.

Primary duties include:

Preparing daily meals and snacks Following menus, recipes, and dietary requirements Preparing modified diets and texture-modified foods when required Maintaining kitchen sanitation and food safety standards Monitoring food inventory and notifying supervisors of supply needs Creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for residents In addition to meal preparation, Cook/DSPs will: Provide basic supervision and support to residents Assist with resident needs during the shift Support the overall operation of the home as part of the care team Available Shifts Direct Support Professional (DSP) 2nd

11:00 PM•9:00 AM Cook/DSP Flexible weekday and weekend schedules available Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Must be dependable and able to work scheduled shifts Previous caregiving, healthcare, human services, or direct support experience preferred DSP certification preferred but not required Paid training provided for qualified candidates Cooking experience strongly preferred for Cook/DSP positions Ability to lift, transfer, and assist individuals as needed Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills CPR/First Aid certification a plus Must successfully complete all required background checks and pre-employment requirements Why Join Penta Nascent? $17.00•$19.00 per hour
