Job Description
Job Summary Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others? We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and dedicated individuals to join our team in a group home setting serving individuals with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will provide person-centered support that promotes independence, dignity, and quality of life for each resident. We offer paid on the job training, can be a certified DSP in 90 days. All shifts available shift and weekend premiums apply. As part of our team, you will build strong, supportive relationships while assisting individuals with daily living activities, community engagement, and personal goals. Duties/Responsibilities Provide persons served with instruction and training opportunities in the development of a variety of functional skill domains, including but not limited to: social communication, home and basic living skills, community participation, vocational and independent living. Provide medication training as taught/delegated by nurse trainer with med passes being error free. Provide and/or ensure delivery of resident care to meet individualized physical, mental, social needs of each resident. Provide immediate crisis intervention for persons served, as needed, including but not limited to: securing medical treatment, problem solving techniques, mediation and verbal de-escalation. Perform transport of persons served - safely operate Crosspoint vehicles. Documented billable contact with each person served present on every shift worked 95% of the time. Takes personal responsibility for and immediate action to ensure a clean, safe and properly maintained home environment for persons served. Qualifications High school diploma or the equivalent. 21 years old and have three years of work experience in a human service setting. Work experience in healthcare environment a plus.
