Five Star Industries, Inc. is a NFP serving children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. We are also seeking workers for our children's home for the shifts included above (worker must be a minimum of 21 years of age due to DCFS regulations) as well as positions in our adult homes. Training wage starts at $15.25 and the wage range for these full time shifts are from $16.50
60 depending on education and experience. All workers with an IL driver's license with a good driving record and HS/ GED are encouraged to apply. We conduct criminal background checks and we drug test. EOE. All training needed is provided and paid.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to assist with transfers, self-care needs, self-preservation, and behavioral interventions.
This may include:
bending, twisting, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, standing, sitting, crawling, reaching, walking, driving, traveling, kneeling, and crouching. OTHER (AS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- All duties as outlined in the "Basic Qualifications" Section of the Five Star employee manual (section 1.04) or the section titled "General Job Description for all staff" in the Temp. Staff Manual
- Attend to the needs of each resident/ client including but not limited to, assisting them with grooming, bathing, hygiene, toileting (including incontinence clean up care), feeding, and communicating other individual needs they may have.
- Support the needs and goals as outlined within each resident/ clients Implementation Strategies, Personal Plan, Discovery Tool, etc.
- Follow all physician's orders, including administration of medications
- Follow all plans put into place for each resident/ client (care plans, behavior plans, etc.)
- Ensure all court orders are followed
- Implement all emergency procedures in the event of a fire, earthquake, other natural disasters, medical emergencies, etc.
- Ensure meals are prepared in accordance with any special restrictions or preferences
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment by cleaning the home, notifying the appropriate people of any unsafe facilities/ items, locking up medication & chemicals, and reporting any problems that could cause injuries or illness
- Fully report any incidents within Therap and to supervisors as outlined within agency policy
- Attend all staff meetings and trainings as assigned
- Submit all daily notes and tracking of goals within Therap at each shift worked
- Assist clients with medications following all instructions of RNT and following procedures of Rule 116
- Perform other duties/ responsibilities as assigned
