Full Job Description Now Hiring:
Full Time Direct Support Staff (12AM-8AM) The Youth Service Bureau is seeking individuals who enjoy caring for, working with and engaging with youth in a meaningful way to serve as full time direct support staff in the youth shelter during the 12:00AM- 8:00AM overnight shift. The Youth Service Bureau is a licensed Child Welfare agency in Springfield, Illinois that has been serving at-risk youth and their families for over 50 years. The agency serves the counties of Sangamon, Christian, Logan, Menard and Mason. The Youth Service Bureau shelter provides services to youth ages 11 - 21 that are abused, neglected, runaway or homeless.

12:00 AM - 8:00
AM Job Description:
Overnight DS staff will have the primary responsibility of ensuring the physical safety, emotional security, and well-being of resident youth during sleeping hours. Core duties include supervising youth at all times, documenting behavior, maintaining facility cleanliness, and de-escalating potential crises. DS staff will foster a trusting, supportive environment by modeling healthy emotional regulation, communication, and coping strategies and will create a home-like environment.
Requirements:
Be a minimum of 21 years of age Hold a current Illinois Driver's License & good driving record Have current automobile insurance Have a high school diploma/GED Be able to pass a DCFS background check
