Job Description

Description We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Day Program Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our Mize CLS team in Burr Ridge, IL. In this role, you will provide hands-on support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a structured day program setting. You will play a key role in promoting independence, skill development, and meaningful community engagement while enhancing each person's overall quality of life. Key Responsibilities Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, and transportation. Facilitate engaging, person-centered activities that promote socialization, independence, and skill-building. Support individuals in achieving goals outlined in their person-centered plans. Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants. Accurately document daily activities, progress, and any changes in behavior or health status. Collaborate with team members, families, and interdisciplinary professionals to deliver comprehensive support. Participate in required trainings and ongoing professional development opportunities. Schedule:
Monday - Friday; 7:30 AM - 4 PM Requirements Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in human services or a related field preferred. Valid Illinois driver's license required; must be eligible to become PACE certified. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Demonstrated patience, empathy, and commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities. Basic knowledge of developmental disabilities and support services preferred. First Aid and CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Must successfully pass a post-offer drug screening.
