In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, person-centered support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism and other special needs. Your energy and enthusiasm will empower individuals to achieve greater independence, enhance their quality of life, and foster community engagement. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day by promoting dignity, respect, and positive growth. Connect-Abilities is seeking candidates to cover Clark, Floyd, Jefferson, Scott, Harrison, and Washington counties for Participant Assistance and Care (PAC). Starting pay is $17+ per hour. We pay for experience! Flexible full-time or part-time. Benefits include matched 401k, health insurance reimbursement of $180 per month through marketplace insurance

days PTO, 10 holidays, cell phone reimbursement, and participation in bonus program, as well as biannual profit sharing.
Key Responsibilities:
Support individuals in developing independent living skills such as budgeting, cooking, and household management Implement and follow Individualized Support Plans (ISPs) and behavior support plans Assist with and/or provide transportation to appointments, work sites, and community activities Encourage and facilitate community integration and social engagement Monitor and document individuals' progress, behaviors, and any incidents in a timely and accurate manner Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, families, and healthcare providers Attend all quarterly meetings to review and update ISP Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established protocols
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required Must be at least 18 years old Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred or required depending on employer) Proof of vehicle insurance Ability to pass background checks, including Indiana criminal history and abuse registry checks CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Previous experience in caregiving, human services, or working with individuals with disabilities preferred

Work Environment & Schedule:
Work may take place in residential homes or community settings Flexible schedule may include evenings, weekends, and holidays Physical demands may include lifting, standing for long periods, and assisting with mobility Compliance & Training Requirements (Indiana): Completion of state-mandated training and ongoing professional development Adherence to Indiana Bureau of Developmental Disabilities Services (BDDS) guidelines
