The Imaging Care Assistant - Radiology is a key support role focused on preparing and assisting patients throughout imaging procedures.
You would ensure patients are properly prepared, supported, and safely transported throughout their imaging experience.
This role reports to the Imaging Care Manager.
Essential & valuable skills gained (in this unit or in this department):
Develop hands-on experience in patient preparation, comfort, and safe transport throughout imaging procedures
Gain skills in supporting radiology workflows, including equipment setup, stocking supplies, and maintaining a clean environment
Build competency in basic administrative and clerical tasks such as documentation support, label printing, and image distribution
Strengthen professionalism in a clinical setting through teamwork, communication, safety awareness, and patient-centered care

Provides comprehensive diagnostic imaging services including X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and Interventional Radiology

Essential Job Duties:
Patient care: Gowns/dresses patients, helps patients with paperwork, prepares patients for procedures, assists with ambulation and transporting.
Equipment:
Prepares imaging equipment, stocks supplies, cleans as required.
Administrative:
Answers call lights, prints patient labels for forms, burns CDs, shares images through Nuance Powershare.
Professionalism:
Demonstrates basic knowledge of health and safety, appropriate conduct and positive attitude, awareness of unit activities, and basic clerical skills.
Licenses / Certifications:
Healthcare Provider BLS level of CPR is required.
