Direct Support Professional

Duties Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance using tools like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor patients' vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration to ensure health stability Administer medications following care plans while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA regulations for confidentiality Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal consumption or feeding as required Conduct patient observation to identify changes in condition or behavior, especially in residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease Maintain clean and safe living environments by performing routine cleaning tasks and adhering to infection control protocols Support residents in participating in social activities and community outings to foster engagement and well-being Skills Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments Knowledge of patient care techniques including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and assisting with ADLs Familiarity with specialized care such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, autism support, hospice care, and long-term care settings Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts when needed Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and patient safety assessments Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and supporting residents' social needs Certification in first aid and CPR; additional training in HIPAA compliance preferred Join us as a Direct Support Professional to empower individuals through compassionate caregiving!
