Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, reporting findings accurately and promptly Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans developed by healthcare professionals Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, ensuring proper food handling and cleanliness standards are maintained Engage clients in social activities, recreational programs, and community outings to promote socialization and mental well-being Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks in residents' living areas and common spaces Document care activities, patient observations, and incident reports clearly in compliance with privacy regulations such as HIPAA Skills Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or other memory care needs Knowledge of first aid, CPR certification, and emergency response procedures to ensure client safety at all times Familiarity with assisted living environments, nursing homes, or home & community care settings Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting residents with mobility or transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's (personal assistive devices) Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing signs of health deterioration or behavioral changes Experience in medication administration, care planning, and working within HIPAA privacy standards Compassionate communication skills to build trusting relationships with clients and team members Join us as a Direct Support Professional where your energy fuels positive change!
