Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional support to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities and personal care. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients by delivering high-quality, respectful, and personalized care. As a vital member of our caregiving team, you will promote independence, safety, and well-being within various care settings, including home health, assisted living, group homes, nursing homes, and hospice environments. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a nurturing environment where clients feel valued and supported every day. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen area. Administer medications following prescribed care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality. Support clients with mobility challenges by providing safe transfers and assisting with walking or repositioning to prevent falls or injuries. Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, medication administration, and any incidents in accordance with facility policies. Uphold safety protocols through first aid certification and CPR training; respond promptly to emergencies or changes in client condition. Qualifications Prior experience working in home & community care settings, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, autism support, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is advantageous. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in HIPAA compliance is a plus. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed for patient support. Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing signs that require medical attention or intervention. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and family members while maintaining compassionate patient support. Valid certifications related to nursing assistance or caregiving are desirable; experience with care plans, medication administration, and vital signs measurement is beneficial.
