Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to empower individuals with diverse needs to live fulfilling, independent lives. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care and support, fostering a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' vital signs and observe their overall health status to ensure safety and comfort Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA confidentiality standards Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Maintain detailed documentation of care activities, patient progress, and incident reports Support residents with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices Engage in patient monitoring, providing attentive supervision during activities to ensure safety at all times Skills Proven experience in group home settings, assisted living facilities, or home & community care environments Knowledge of patient care techniques including CPR, first aid, Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and memory care Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder Strong understanding of medication administration, care plans, and vital signs monitoring Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, patients, and families Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility tasks Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information Join us in creating a positive impact by providing compassionate support that enhances quality of life.
