Job Description

Overview Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Assistant and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals needing support with daily activities and personal well-being. In this vital role, you will provide attentive, respectful, and personalized care to promote independence, safety, and comfort. Whether working in a home setting, assisted living facility, or group home, your dedication will help clients maintain their dignity and quality of life. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while fostering positive relationships with those you serve. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, medication adherence, and overall condition Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and nutrition management in accordance with care plans Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer devices to safely assist with mobility needs Document patient observations, care activities, and any changes in condition accurately and promptly Follow all HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and protect client privacy during care delivery Qualifications Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home settings, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to recognize signs of distress or deterioration Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid required; additional certifications such as Alzheimer's or dementia care are a plus Familiarity with medication administration, care plans, and vital signs monitoring Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance with privacy standards Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or memory care needs is advantageous Join us to provide compassionate support that empowers individuals to live healthier and more independent lives. $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
