Staff provide support in areas ranging from personal care, meal planning, grocery shopping, cleaning, community integration, financial management, transportation and coordination of medical care.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct Support Professionals, staff job requirements may include but are not limited to assisting in behavioral and personal care services to a specific individual that will enable him/her to reach his/her fullest potential and improve behavior, academic, social and functional skills to live their best life. Working in a group home or residential setting Assist with any activity of daily living as outlined in the client's Behavior Support Plan or Individual Support Plan Provide safe and continuous support in the home or in the community Provide recreation and leisure activities, teach functional communication, implement approved behavior plans, and achieve increased independence, productivity, and inclusion in the community Ability to understand and implement a variety of Behavior Support Plans per each client's outcomes and goals if needed Ability to complete data daily and in line with the expectations of the team, ensure proper completion of time sheets, checklists, and communication logs as outlined per client team Ability to transport clients in company vehicle each shift as deemed appropriate General upkeep and cleanliness of the home/facility If you want to make the lives of others enriched while promoting independence and community involvement, we want you on our team!
What we need from you:
You are responsible, timely, professional and organized. You have exceptional oral and written communication skills. You have excellent attendance and take pride being on time and there for your scheduled shifts. You are comfortable with providing or assisting with personal care to others when needed (personal hygiene) You are patient, understanding, and compassionate. Adaptability- the day in the life of a Direct Support Professional is never the same and you will need to be able to adapt to the situation and the individual's shifting needs during the time they spend together Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
Benefits:
Starting wage for this position is $15.25 per hour. -Refer a Friend Bonus- $100.00 at their 90 days and $200.00 at their 180 days ICHRA (Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement) Dental Vision Life Insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) 401K . 401K Match with an outstanging company paid orientation paid training
