As an on-call aide, you will deliver vital support to clients in their homes and assisted living facilities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. This role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse healthcare needs. Responsibilities Provide personalized assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and observe patients' conditions, recording vital signs and reporting any changes promptly Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations Support clients with medical procedures such as catheter care, wound care, or hospice-related needs as directed by healthcare professionals Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to document patient interactions accurately and efficiently Help with meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and cleaning to maintain a safe and comfortable environment Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices safely and effectively Work with individuals who have developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or memory care needs to promote safety and engagement Collaborate with nursing staff and family members to ensure comprehensive patient care plans are followed Skills Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in condition or behavior Experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation standards for accurate record keeping Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for charting and reporting Ability to assist with complex medical tasks such as medication administration, catheter care, and vital signs measurement Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice support, and memory care strategies CPR certification and knowledge of emergency response procedures Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges Excellent caregiving skills combined with compassion and patience for diverse patient populations Ability to work independently while adhering to safety protocols and HIPAA guidelines Must Be Available for Weekends and Holiday shifts Join our team as a Certified HHA On-Call HHA Aide if you're passionate about providing compassionate care that empowers individuals to live healthier, happier lives.
