Job Description:
Personal Care Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Provide assistance with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including using assistive devices and techniques
  • Administer medications according to prescribed schedules
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
  • Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and tidying up living areas
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Accompany clients to medical appointments or social outings as needed
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not required
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with clients in a compassionate manner
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation to travel to client's homes or facilities
  • Flexibility in scheduling, as some shifts may include evenings, weekends, or holidays
