In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized support to promote independence, enhance quality of life, and foster community engagement. Your energy and commitment will empower individuals to reach their full potential while creating a positive and inclusive environment. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop rewarding relationships and grow professionally within a supportive team. Duties Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and medication administration under supervision. Support behavioral health and behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and emotional well-being. Facilitate participation in community outings, recreational activities, and social events to encourage community integration. Collect data on individual progress, document observations, and maintain accurate records for care planning and reporting purposes. Use effective communication skills, including American Sign Language if applicable, to ensure clear understanding and engagement with individuals. Drive clients safely to appointments, activities, or outings using company vehicles while adhering to all safety protocols. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized support plans tailored to each person's needs. Skills Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or other disabilities in home or community care settings. Strong understanding of special education principles and behavioral health practices. Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in American Sign Language preferred. Knowledge of behavior management techniques and positive reinforcement strategies. Ability to assist with ADLs and provide caregiving support compassionately and effectively. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for safe transportation duties. Experience in data collection, documentation, and basic social work practices related to client care. Familiarity with medication administration procedures in accordance with safety guidelines. Join us in making a difference every day!
