Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, aging needs, or health challenges. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. Whether supporting residents in group homes, assisting with daily activities at home, or helping clients thrive in community settings, your energy and commitment will create a positive impact every day. Duties Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs and observing for changes in condition or behavior Support medication administration and help maintain accurate care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to promote healthy eating habits Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure safe transfer techniques to prevent injury Engage clients in social activities and community outings to foster social skills and independence Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols Requirements Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or in assisted living environments is highly preferred Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training such as HIPAA compliance or hospice care is a plus Demonstrated ability to observe patient conditions carefully and document findings accurately Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, patient monitoring, and assisting with mobility tasks Knowledge of care techniques including medication administration, vital signs measurement, and dementia or Alzheimer's care Experience working in group homes, nursing homes, home health services, or long-term care settings is advantageous Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and residents Join us to empower individuals through dedicated support and compassionate care. Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
