Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals. Meal preperation, feeding may be required. Support medication administration following care plans while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and confidentiality. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including laundry, and organizing personal spaces. Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being, especially for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Document care activities meticulously, update care plans regularly, and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient support. Qualifications Compassionate and dependable Strong communication skills Ability to pass background check Pass CPR/ First Aide TB test required Home care experience preferred but not required Reliable transportation Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in health status promptly. Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is a plus; familiarity with care plans is beneficial.
