Caregiver /Personal Care Assistant Healing and Helping Home Care LLC Roanoke, IN Job Details Part-time $17 - $21 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Qualifications CPR Certification Hospice experience Caregiving High school diploma or GED End-of-life care Patient interaction Bathing assistance Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities at $17-$21. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in various caregiving settings, including home care, assisted living, and group homes, and will be skilled in providing personalized care tailored to each individual's needs. Must have paraplegic and gait belt experience. This position you will work Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life. Monitor and document vital signs and changes in the client's condition. Administer medications as prescribed and assist with care plans. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning and preparation. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Support clients with mobility needs using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and well-being. Provide specialized care for individuals with conditions such as Alzheimer's, dementia, or developmental disabilities. Skills First aid and CPR certification preferred. Experience in home health, hospice care, or long-term care settings is beneficial. Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in health status or behavior. Ability to assist with heavy lifting and physical support for clients. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is a plus. Proficient in cooking and meal preparation tailored to dietary needs. Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and vital sign assessment. Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families. $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
